• Q: What do you think people should know about your country?
• A: Palau is a country in Oceania. The main languages spoken there are Palauan and English. Why am I telling you this? Because you would need this in case you do have a vacation there, and some people may not know English there. Here are some words you may need to use if you do come to Palau: Ali = hi, Ungil tutau/sueleb/kebesengei = good morning/afternoon/evening (in that order), A ngklek a [your name] = my name is [your name], Ng techa ngklem? = what is your name?, Ke ua ngerang? = how are you?, Ak mesisiich. = I'm fine., Chochoi. = yes., Ng diak. = no., (Meral ma) Sulang. = thank you (very much), Mechikung. = goodbye.,
• Q: Do you guys think that Palau is using their resources ethically?
• A:They use their marine products sustainably because they decided to preserve some of the oceans near them and now you can’t commercial fish there, get oil, and extract anything else. Instead, it’s used for local fishing and for diving tourism revenues. We don’t really know about the forest sections though, however our answer is yes.
• Q: In your perspective, would you rather have Canada’s government or the one of your country? Support with evidence.
• A:Personally, I think they’re both okay, but I prefer the Canadian government since I'm used to living in this country and I like the people I met there. Besides, if I did move, I would’ve moved to an English-speaking country probably. The rights on LGBTQ+ people there are a

  bit iffy if I say so myself.

  The laws of having LGBTQ people in Canada, however are a

  bit more open than in Palau.

  These are the main reasons why I like Canada’s a bit more.
• Q: Comparing income and cost of living, in your perspective, does Palau enjoy a better, worse, or equal opportunity life to you in Canada?
• A: Palau’s usual income is $12,790 USD and usual cost of living is $12,120-67,800 USD, yearly. Canada’s usual income is $70,472, and usual cost of living is $40,000. Palau’s is better by a bit, but you don’t earn as much and possibly won’t have enough for food, water and other stuff. So, at most, it would be equal.
• Q: What is a significant event that occurred within Palau? What was the continuity of life before, and what were the consequences of the events after?
• A: Palau got colonized by Spain. Life before was normal island life for them, nice, but I do not personally think there are many records of that time to know. After they got colonized by Spain, they got colonized by 3 other countries (Germany before World War I, Japan till World War II and the USA till they became a country, but they still help a bit by military economic stuff). Before they became a country in October of 1994, the first president of Palau was Haruo I. Remeliik, but he got murdered due to some volatile internal politics. I'm telling you this because it may be important there, but we don’t know for sure.
